One great thing about this product, is that the company/customer service is very helpful and quick to remedy the situation when there is an issue (they can be hard to get in touch with initially, though – I'd suggest calling rather than emailing). The product has a 5 year warranty, which is good, considering the problems I've encountered with this one, but at least they replace them quickly.

We've owned this juicer for about 3 years. The same piece on this juicer continues to break (we're on the third time now). To be fair, we're juicing 5 lbs of carrots per day, but the company assured me that this juicer could handle the volume.

The filter on this juicer has broken more times than I can remember. They tend to break about every 6 months–one broke after only a week. I will be buying the juicer from a different company now. I used this one for 4 years, and it's just been too frustrating.

I owned this juicer for 5 years. I've gone through several juicing screens now. I called the company and finally asked why this might be happening, and they informed me that I was not cutting my produce into small enough pieces. I told them that that was impossible, and that the prodect was clearly defective. The warranty is good for 5 years, and they will honor it. I'm currently not using this juicer because I once again have a broken screen, and the warranty is expired.

The instructions for the SoloStar II explicitly state they should cut up fruits and veggies before processing. I found other juicers that didn't require pre-chopping, so I ignored the manual. That was a mistake. The machine worked well at first, but eventually it performed as though it had aged. The juice became chunkier, and eventually the juicing screen broke.

I called customer service to get a new screen. I continued to ignore the manual's instructions, and I was still experiencing fruit and vegetable chunks in my juice. So I decided to actually follow the directions, and lo and behold it works beautifully. Following directions does take a little more time (for example, make sure you cut carrots into half-inch chunks), but the results are very much worth it!

My last juicer sounded like a chainsaw. What a difference with this one. The pulp from this machine is definitely drier compared to our previous juicer. It's definitely quieter!

The SoloStar II works very well when parts aren't breaking. It is simple to assemble and use. The actual juicing process is very efficient. All parts of the juicer are very easy to clean, with the exception of jthe uicing screen. It requires a steel brush that I had to buy on my own. One great feature – the juicer is wonderfully quiet.

I must have a defective unit. In the past year, the juicing screen on my Green Star has broken 3 times. Each time the screen broke, it was before the pulp container was completely full. Keeping it from breaking required constant cleaning during juicing sessions. At one point, even the auger cracked. I had to call customer service directly to request replacement parts. They sent them to me without any difficulties.
