Bought this for wheatgrass juicing, but I am really impressed with the fact that it does more. It includes several pasta attachments!!

This Samson is everything and more I could want in a juicer. After using a long line of centrifugal style juicers which work great for the first week and then quickly deteriorate into a massive waste of produce, I decided to buy a masticating juicer. This juicer is super easy to clean and makes quick work of everything. It chews through hard veggies as well as leafy greens easily. Be willing to experiment, but pay attention to the number setting on the front of the machine.

Out of the box the design is simple. The parts are super easy to put together and you can figure it out even without the directions. I enjoyed reading them later since every page had examples of the many things you can do with your juicer.

I don't think you'll be disappointed with this juicer at all. You can't beat the 10 year warranty – five years on the parts. It seems well-made, and so far. I'm glad I purchased it.

All the good things from the other reviews are correct. Versatile, long warranty, easy to clean, etc. But there is a catch. I purchased this only for wheatgrass which I juice daily for my health. The manual says to feed very small quantities at a time, less than with other juicers, or it won't strain properly. So you can either constantly watch how you feed the hopper or be frustrated. I am on my third strainer (an internal non-optional part) because the other two shattered. Keep this in mind.

Does great things with wheatgrass Review by Mike Helve

This juicer is plastic rather than metal, so I was hesitant to buy it. But in my research I came across some really good reviews, and it costs a lot less than the metal model. I'm really glad I went ahead and purchased this. Wheatgrass pulp comes out extraordinarily dry. The pulp is actually drier than in was in them metal juicers I used before. It can handle harder veggies and carrots if you chop them up first. It does really well with greens. It's easy to clean. I've only had it for 3 weeks, but so far I'm very pleased.

This product leaks from the back, so it tends not do very well with very juicy fruits. Especially with beets. If you try to run the pulp through again, you have a very big mess,

It turns out the screen was defective, I got the replacement from the company, and it now performs much better.

This product did not perform well. To get 1 ounce of juice we had to waste half a flat of wheatgrass. We tried an apple. Also very weak yield. We ran the same test with the Jack Lalane and got much better results.

Disappointing! Review by Simon W

I got this juicer with the idea of juicing both Wheatgrass and vegetables on a regular basis. It does a horrible job with carrots (which I primarily want to juice).

Here are the problems:

Unless I piece the carrots into small pieces, the yield is very low. When I juice carrots and apples for two, by the time I get to the second cup, the whole attachment falls apart and I have to put it back and start all over again. When the juicer was new and I used a whole carrot, the masticating rod cracked.

Bottom line: If you looking for a vegetable juicer, Dont buy this.
