The Omega 8005 Nutrition Center Juicer is quick, efficient and affordable compared to most!
The Omega Juicer Model 8005 provides an easy solution for multi-purpose functions not just limited to juicing. It is easy to clean, carries a lengthy 10-Year Warranty and comes in at a decent price for all the functions it can accomplish. The Omega name has been around for more than 30 years and continues to produce a high quality machine.
The Omega 8005 Juicer replaces the older Omega 8001 and 8002 models.
Low revolution auger speed
- The Omega Juicer 8005 has a slow turning 80 RPM auger which preserves nutrients longer than high revolution juicers.
- While some people may be concerned that this means it juices very slowly the speed difference is not all that noticeable. The extra time is well spent in preserving all of the nutrients in the juice and creating a much better tasting juice too!
Quality
- While the price tag may seem high - consider the fact that this juicer has a 10-Year Warranty. We have clients who have had their juicer (older models) for 10-20 years without having any problems.
- All of the parts on this machine are built to last with no loose ends (they fit together solidly!)

 | 1/30/2008 by Jill Good juicer I have had a few others - I had bought the marathon juicer (which was WAY over priced for the quality by the way..thank you for accepting my return so smoothly by the way!). I got the omega 8005 in exchange and am much happier with it. I like its looks and the cleanup I have found to be very good for a masticating juicer of this type. My only reason for a 4 out of 5 is the finger smudges that I produce on the chrome finish. hahah. I know, I am being a bit picky here. Other than that I'm incredibly happy with the omega. It has done a great job on juicing my wheatgrass and I've also made some fantastic nut butter and frozen delights out of it. Hope this helps |
 | 5/6/2008 by greta Juice, yes. Coffee, no. Ok, my only previous juicing experience was with a cheapie $40 centrifugal juicer, so I can't speak from a comparison standpoint for juicers in this price range. I mean, of course the Omega 8005 is far superior to the aforementioned. I can say I think it's a good juicer overall esp. for greens and harder fruits/veg (pineapple and pear - not so much, but that's to be expected?) and I have recommended it to friends and would again. HOWEVER, one reason I chose this juicer was for it's supposed multi-functionality - most specifically for the grinding option. I've tried to grind coffee and spices as the Product Description (and the manual) claims that it does, and it just doesn't work. Literally - the machine stops working. It jams up almost immediately - comes to a GRINDING HALT, so to speak (ha!) Grinding coffee simply does NOT happen for me. :( And forget about "sorbet" claims too, (freeze the juice, then run through = sorbet) This hasn't worked for me either, perhaps my freezer is too cold? The nut butter paste turns out ok, but is significantly heated and seems to really work the machine, the manual recommends adding oil tho, which i didn't try. As for the "mincing and chopping" they claim - that just means squashing into a puree-like consistency. That's fine for some things, but I wouldn't call it "mincing" and certainly not "chopping"! I've never tried to make pasta, but it does seem like that might actually work. So those expectations I had, based on the Product Description, certainly led to disappointment for me. BUT, if you just want great juice, dry pulp, no foam, easy cleanup, and a good lookin' quiet machine just about the size of a toaster then I'd say this is a great choice. I probably should've given it a 5, but it doesn't do everything I was led to believe it would and also: the plastic parts are ugly and don't match. (that's ok- i'm a silly design snob and i just keep them in the cupboard anyway.)(and yeah, it's gonna get fingerprints- it's CHROMEish, Get the white one if you can't deal. I wouldn't down-rate it for that! sheesh.) |
