It can make about 16-24 oz of juice before you have to change the filter. The filters aren't required, but if you don't use them, your cleanup time triples easily. So use them to make your life easier.

I might mention if your mixture of pulp is not from something too unusual, it makes a good starter for muffins.
Once the the pulp is gone the juicer is very easy to wash, Then I can have it ready to go for breakfast. I always juice carrots, celery, radish, beets, apples, ginger and spinach (you can find a lot of recipes for these). It is also much easier to do my grocery shopping that way. All these items juice well. The spinach does not extract as much juice as does in a masticating juicer but I believe this unit operates better than the masticating juicers overall. I usually run items like strawberries, blueberries, bananas, mangoes, papayas, oranges, pineapple and grapefruit (whatever is in season) through a blender and mix in protein powder rather than running them through the juicer.
I encourage you to buy organic produce if it's available. Since you are getting all of the good stuff by juicing, you will probably want to avoid the chemicals they use on non-organic foods.

Pros: Quickly turns fruit and veggies into juice. It's relatively quiet, simple to clean (when using a filter), and there are lots of good recipes online.
Cons: Can only make around 4 glasses before the filter should be changed, can be difficult to clean if you do not use a filter.

I have a morning routine where I can assemble, juice, and clean in about 20 minutes. That gives me about 16oz or so of the best quality juice you can imagine.
Remember that filters make easy cleanup. Keep your fruit and veggies in the fridge overnight before juicing. (It keeps the blade temp down which prevents the loss of the good stuff in your produce), and cleanup should happen right after you juice. If you wait the juicer is tougher to clean.

This juicer will easily produce a couple large glasses (about 2 16-oz glasses) of juice before the pulp container needs to be cleaned. Other reviews claim that the basket is harder to clean then pulp ejectors, but in my experience I have to disagree. The basket isn't slanted, so pulp can't grip the sides, I've never had to use a brush. Water and my hands work fine.
Acme juicers are the standard. Unlike some of the foreign-made juicers that are so popular now, you'll be able to pass this machine on to your children and grandchildren and the parts will still be available. I hope this helps those weighing their options. Compare this one to an Omega!
