EasyGreen Sprouter - The Easy Seed Sprouter!
- Product Review (submitted on December 20, 2011):
- I have several lunches to make daily, and one mason jar full of sprouts was never quite enough. I really like having enough sprouts to actually store some in the fridge to just grab. My daily routine for this sprouter involves starting a new tray of sprouts, adding a jug of water morning and night, and emptying the drainage jug morning and night. The mist sprays right out of the holes in the front panel. I need to keep a towel hanging over the door so that my wooden table is not covered in puddles of water after each cycle. Also, you need to ensure that the drainage tubing doesn't get submerged in the drainage jug. It will vapor lock and then all the water will run out the front door. Once I cut the tubing to hang towards the top of the jug, this issue disappeared. At the moment, I am using bleach for my weekly cleaning as the manual said, but I will definitely try the food grade hydrogen peroxide when I have used this jug up. Even just using three tablespoons of bleach, my house reeks of the stuff. I keep mine in the living room. I do believe that it uses less water than manually rinsing the sprouts, but I have no actual figures to back it up.
