Around 2004 I got the smaller Breville. I liked it but it was loud. It sounds like a jet engine when you turn it on.
Since the voltage is different over here in Germany where I live I got another one. A very nice juicer, it rinses easily then I brush the basket then put it in the Dish Washer. If it broke I would get another one.

In the few days i have had this, I really like it. I am still wondering why I am juicing some of the things I am -- cactus for example leaves a slimy green mess that looks like snot and tastes like grass clippings -- and I can't figure out why I don't just eat the whole thing instead of wasting all the pulp and solids. Those things aside, it is a great machine and the apple juice, carrot juice, and pineapple juice is fantastic. My only complaint, and this is a minor one, is that the metal spinner basket is sometimes hard to clean and the spout drips after I remove the pitcher. Overall a great machine, if a tad pricey.

We own a whole family of juicers. If you plan on juicing, this is the one, just bite the bullet and get this. It is easy to disassemble and clean. Juicing as a whole is very tedious and takes discipline. It takes an hour a day to wash my veggies, fruit and juice a gallon of juice a day. I juice alot of fruit and veggies and fill up my mason jars and I am set for the day. i spend lots of money at the farmers market and grocery store every week loading up on veggies and fruit. but it is no different than buying all of that processed food likes cookies, boxed food and junk that has no nutrition whatsoever. I feel good and have lots of energy. If only I could get my 17 year old daughter to drink fresh juice. She would rather eat her fruit and veggies than juice them LOL! Take it from someone who has had their share of juicers, The Breville is top of the line and I just love it!!!

This product itself does a darn fine job of juicing. Be aware there is not much juice in a whole bushel of spinach. Cucumbers have a lot of juice but cucumber juice tastes nothing like a cucumber. Just be aware before you buy one of these with grand ambitions you will be spending alot of money or placing it in a nice cubby to collect dust.

Cleanup not as easy as I would like Review by Warren

Thought it was pricey for a juicer, but the design is definitely solid. Well built, nothing seems like it will break for a long time. It grinds through the toughest carrots and things I can throw at it. cleanup process is a undesirable, wish they would have made their components smaller, but all in all worth the money if you plan on juicing for a long time!

I've never owned a juicer before. I did some pretty extensive internet review research & was willing to pay a little more for a durable design because I got the impression certain models worked until something in the drive mechanism failed. Juicing firm fruits & vegs with a 900 watt motor can put a lot of stress on the drive. The strong metal clamp that holds the top assembly together is also important. I think this is easy to clean. Although there are seven parts, it's easy to break down & reassemble. I've been using it for about three weeks & so far I'm very happy I bought it.

This juicer definitely gets juice out, but it also tends to have juice leak out of the rear of the juicer. Other people have recommended adding a plastic bag. I have not tried this, but am disappointed that it leaks. I clean up the extra juice from the counter, but it seems like an unnecessary extra step for what is supposed to be a great juicer. I've never owned another juicer, so I'm not certain what to compare this to. How the heck to you select the perfect juicer at a reasonable price?

Worth saving for Review by Umeko

I owned a juicer previously which was difficult to clean and inefficient. The Breville is a nice change. Easy to disassemble, clean, and reassemble. Cleaner juice - less particles. It takes up a fair amount of counter space, but worth it. A good value.
