Make your juices sparkle this summer!

Sparking water sets off fresh juiceAre you entertaining tomorrow for the 4th of July? How about this weekend? With the summer warmth and the beginning of July comes the BBQ’s and quality time with family and friends!

Instead of serving beverages that can harm your body, why don’t you create a signature drink that actually does your guest’s body good!

Have your thirst quenchers be the talk the of your party by adding one secret ingredient: sparkling water!

What we love about sparkling water

Much to the delight and surprise of many, sparkling water does offer some health benefits over its still water counterpart. Research published in the Journal of Nutrition shows that drinking sparkling water actually helps lower your LDL (lousy) cholesterol, and raises your HDL (healthy) cholesterol (participants were all woman who drank a liter per day).

A different study of carbonated water versus still water showed that those who had the sparkling version had less indigestion and relief from constipation (in this study participants consumed a liter and a half of their version of water daily).

That’s no big surprise – consider the old wise tale about drinking something carbonated when you’ve got an upset stomach. But it sure is nice to have some research backing it!

I’m sure you know by now that you NEVER add water to your juicer….but I just want to remind you of this important fact.

So, the plan is to juice up your favorite refreshing produce, and then make it sparkle by adding the sparkling water to to the juice itself!
