Apples also contain a variety of vitamins and minerals, including vitamin-C, B-complex vitamins, beta-carotene, and potassium to name a few.
They are low in calories, low in fat and are full of healthy pectin fiber!
Apples help with the battle of Breast, Colon, Lung and Liver Cancer. If you have little ones, you might find it interesting to know that asthmatic children who consume apple juice daily have less wheezing vs the kiddos who only have apple juice once a month.
Cornell University conducted a study on mice and found that the quercetin in apples may protect brain cells from the kind of free radical damage that may lead to Alzheimer’s disease. Apples also help regulate blood sugar, which is helpful for those with diabetes.
Apples are a great help to our bodies when it comes to heart disease, which is the number one cause of death in America. Consuming two apples a day may help lower cholesterol by 16%. AND, they make our bones strong!
