Breakfast Convenience With SmoothiesIt’s no secret that eating breakfast is super important for our health and having enough energy to make it through our day–without it, we lack stamina, focus and tend to binge later on in the afternoon or at night. But the inconvenient truth is that breakfast can be, well, inconvenient. For those of us who are awake before the roosters, breakfast can feel like that annoying thing that takes away from our precious sleep time; making eggs, oatmeal or even a bowl of cereal can be time consuming, especially when we’d all rather be sleeping.

Enter: smoothies!

The merits of smoothies are long and storied; they allow us to intake a great deal of nutrients in an efficient manner. The ability to get up to five servings of fruits and vegetables in addition to healthy fats, water and protein make smoothies a breakfast dynamo. And to take the convenience even further, you can make one of the following smoothies, pour the mixture into ice cube trays, freeze and pop them out; you then have made something that is already convenient… even more convenient! And when you awake bleary eyed, all you need to do is pop a few cubes in a blender with water, milk or juice and BOOM breakfast is served. It’s genius, really!

So here are three deliciously complete breakfast smoothies, to get you back in the breakfast habit!

Strawberry Coconut Smoothie

1 cup frozen strawberries
½ avocado
2 tbsp coconut milk
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tbsp chia seeds
¾ cup cold water

Mango Tahini Smoothie

1 cup frozen mango
1 tbsp tahini
1 tsp hemp seed
1 tbsp lime juice
½ cup water

Blueberry Mint Smoothie

1 cup frozen blueberries
1 banana
¼ cup orange juice
½ cup fresh mint leaves
½ cup hemp seed milk

Now you have no excuse not to eat breakfast. Good Morning, indeed!
