This is thew new version of the Vitamix 4500 Blender.  This includes a new BPA-Free Carafe made by Eastman Tritan material, a new lid-locking mechanism which makes locking and releasing the lid incredibly easy, a brand new healthy recipe book, new faceplate graphics, and a new cooloer running motor (less heat and longer run times!).

The Vitamix Turbo-Blend 4500 Blender is quite possibly the most versatile, high powered, and well constructed blender on the market. The machine itself is actually pretty simple and to the point. It has a two speed motor (switches) and an on/off switch. While the cost on this blender is pretty high we feel that once you use this blender you are guaranteed to see and feel the difference.

The TurboBlend rocks!!! I got it..I love it. I was debating between the vitamix 4500 and the blendtec total blender. I'm happy that I chose the vitamix because of its warranty and because they have been around forever. My only one thing is that the carafe is a bit large to fit underneath my countertops. I do hear that the blendtec jar will fit underneath, but I'm still very happy. It kills the ice and frozen fruits that i put in it for my morning smoothie! Awesome.

A phenomenal piece of equipment I got this blender as a gift. I make a protein with fruit shake every morning and I would recommend this blender to anyone looking for a long term investment. I like almonds and other nuts in my smoothies, but this is the only blender that grinds them down to smitherines! I don't like the large particles left by other blenders, this one does the job in about a minute and a half. Thanks, mom and dad!
